We're hiring regular full-time Anaesthesia Assistants at St. Paul's Hospital! This is your chance to take the next step in your career by working closely with Anaesthesiologists to support patients during critical moments of their care.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited post-graduate Anaesthesia Assistant Program
- Three (3) years' recent, related clinical care experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- Eligibility for registration with the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists (CSRT) or eligibility for membership with the Canadian Anaesthesiologists' Society (CAS)
- Strong knowledge of anaesthesia theory, CAS guidelines, and clinical practice
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to assess patient responses and respond appropriately
- Skilled in conflict resolution and critical decision-making
- Familiarity with research methods and medical equipment use
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills
- Able to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
- Experience teaching students
- CPR certified and physically able to perform required duties
- Proficient in operating relevant medical equipment
