Requirements
- Eligibility: Provo City accepts lateral transfer applications from current police officers in other agencies at any time. Lateral transfers must be currently employed as a certified law enforcement officer, or have been employed as such within the last 18 months; have at least 2 years of certified law enforcement officer experience; and have Utah POST law enforcement officer certification or qualify to be certified as such.
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Law Enforcement Officer Certificate by Utah State Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST).
- Must be a United States citizen or a lawful permanent resident of the United States who has been in the United States legally for 5 years and has legal authorization to work in the United States.
- A valid, lawful Driver License.
