Job Description
Tends laundering machines to clean sheets, blankets, and personal articles of patients. Loads articles in washer and adds specified amount of detergent. Lifts clean, wet articles from washer and places them successively into wringer and dryer for measured time cycles. Sorts dry articles according to identification numbers or type. Folds and places items in appropriate storage bin.
Requirements
- Folds and sorts laundry (blankets, sheets, towels etc.) and personal clothing items
- Hangs clothes on racks according to name and numbers.
- Delivers patient/resident’s laundry to designated areas
- Ensures that patients/residents clothes are ready to wear, not in disrepair and put in proper place
