Electromechanical Maintenance Technician

Electromechanical Maintenance Technician responsible for setup, installation, troubleshooting, repair and testing of complex mechanical/electrical equipment. Must have high school diploma or GED and additional education or work experience in electrical, electronics or mechanical technology.

Requirements

• Reviews and accurately reports personal activities on a daily, or more frequent, basis.
• Familiarizes self with Prysmian's manufacturing environment and equipment
• Familiarizes self with company philosophy, procedures, and practices
• Function as a Medical First Responder in the Fiber Plant
• Participates in Prysmian's pay-for-skill program
• Provides timely, quality, and cost-effective service and technical guidance in support of short/long-range operating plans.
• Maintains assets to support required levels of reliability, availability, output capacity, quality, and (internal) customer service.
• Assists the Maintenance Lead Person and/or the Maintenance Manager in determining proper installation and/or repair procedures for mechanical, electrical and/or electronic equipment
• Notifies the Maintenance Manager or Maintenance Lead Person if additional hand, power or electronic diagnostic tools are required
• Participates in a preventive maintenance program as directed by Maintenance supervision
• Assures that safe work practices and company policies are adhered to at all times
• Assists Maintenance Lead Person and/or Maintenance Manager in establishing and maintaining optimum inventory levels of critical components
• Performs other duties as directed by the Maintenance Manager
