Process Sr Engineer - Hollow Core Fiber

Prysmian is seeking a Sr. Process Optical Fiber Engineer to join their team in Eindhoven. The role involves leading the development, implementation, and optimization of next-generation optical fiber manufacturing processes. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with R&D and production teams to ensure manufacturing yield targets and fiber performance are met.

Requirements

• PhD or Master's degree in optoelectronics, photonics, fiber optics, materials science, mechanical engineering, physics, or a related field
• Expertise in optical fiber technologies, including commercial and advanced fiber
• Experience in fiber fabrication and glass processing, in process engineering and in cleanroom operations
• Familiarity with fiber characterization tools and techniques for performance evaluation
• Innovative, with a strong drive for excellence
• Inventive mind and eager to solve problems
• Detailed orientated, meticulous, able to work in a dynamic environment and have the ability to work efficiently across multiple tasks
• Strong communication skills
• Willing to go to the United States to be trained by professionals in Orlando for a certain period of time
• Ability to work in 2 shifts for an initial phase and then move to dayshift scheme when the production is up and running
