Job Description
PsiQuantum is seeking a Sr. Active Photonics R&D Engineer to contribute to the development of fault-tolerant quantum computers. This role focuses on independently designing, modeling, testing, and analyzing active photonic components, collaborating with various teams to achieve project goals. The company is focused on building practical quantum computing systems, leveraging technologies like silicon photonics to realize the potential of quantum computing.
Requirements
- MS or PhD in electrical engineering, applied physics, optical engineering, or related discipline.
- 3+ years of industrial experience in integrated photonics technologies.
- Deep expertise in integrated photonic devices (passive and active components).
- Experience with high-speed operation (10 GHz bandwidth +).
- Strong knowledge of modeling (Lumerical, Tidy3D, COMSOL, Meep).
- Understanding or hands-on experience with photonic packaging
- Proficiency in Python and Matlab
- Strong data analysis and communication skills
- Project planning and management experience
