Assembly Machine Operator (1st shift)

We are looking for a Machine Operator to join our team! The primary responsibility of the Assembly Operator is day-to-day production and actual manufacturing of products or components.

Requirements

• Uses available tools to connect parts, make components fit together and align properly.
• Follows quality control procedures; looks for mistakes in the assembly process and faulty components; reports problems.
• Operates and monitors automated technologies used in the assembly process.
• Assists engineers and team members with the building and testing of parts/tools and assembly-related issues.
• Manage the cleanliness and orderliness of the work area (5S).
• Communicates concerns and relevant information about job to respective supervisor.
• Review and follow standardized work instructions.
• Quality checks per requirements.
• Responsible for data collection records lot numbers for brackets, clips, and rivets on check sheet.
• Report any injuries, accidents, equipment malfunctions, property damage etc. to Supervisor.
• Operate hi-lo, crane and any other equipment to transfer parts.
• Have clear understanding of prevented maintenance set up check sheet in PLEX.
• Understand general assembly operations, including all labeling functions in PLEX.
• Understand the position of the label on the box and/or tote and the placement on the skid.
• Demonstrate proper and safe operation of equipment, and personal protective equipment including, but not limited to, safety glasses/full face shield, hearing protection, heat reflective body garments and gloves as required to maintain personal safety and a safe working environment.
• Responsible for producing quality parts according to customer specifications.
• Perform other duties as assigned
