Job Description
Under general supervision, the Accounting Specialist handles and directs incoming invoices and performs routine and some non-routine accounting functions in the Accounts Payable Department. Responsible for maintaining proper workflow of invoices to ensure efficiency and accuracy in payments, modifications, and updates.
Requirements
- Associate's degree (AA/AS) in accounting or a related field, or one year of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
- Three years' progressively responsible experience in accounting, accounts payable, or other related field.
- Knowledge of organizational policies and procedures, accounts payable processes, and general accounting software.
- Skills in bookkeeping and/or accounting, working with vendors, and effective communication skills.
