Senior Engineer - Generation Electrical & Controls

Puget Sound Energy is looking for a Senior Engineer - Generation Electrical & Controls to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience in Industrial Processes and Controls, Protective Relaying, electrical maintenance, asset management, or closely related fields. The role involves reviewing and verifying complex engineering plans, designs, and studies, and providing technical support to generating plant staff. The position is a hybrid work arrangement with some flexibility in selecting an office location.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree or PE license in electrical, mechanical, civil, or other appropriate engineering field
• Substantial experience in planning, design, specification preparation, technical field work, project cost estimating, and scheduling
• Demonstrated organization, documentation, prioritization, and project management skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience working in wind or solar generation, Low and Medium Voltage electrical systems, and Solar and Wind site asset maintenance and inspection
• Protective Relay experience, both electrical design and settings, as well as related NERC compliance
• Possession of, or ability to acquire, a Professional Engineering license
• Experience working on complex engineering projects, Industrial Controls, and SEL RTAC experience
• Knowledge of and experience with computer networking, firewalls, architecture, protocols, routers, and controllers
