Job Description
Sells parts to customers, assists with part selection, and provides high-level service to internal and external customers.
Requirements
- Assists all customers in selecting required parts
- Informs customers of companion part requirements and specials
- Answers phone calls and provides price quotes
- Reviews body shop estimates and orders parts
- Provides high level of service to internal and external customers
- Pulls and fills orders from stock
- Notifies parts manager of out-of-stock parts
- Locates out-of-stock parts from outside source
- Notifies customers and service advisors of special ordered parts
- Delivers parts to body shop, accessories shop, and service technicians
- Follows up on back-ordered parts
- Verifies will-call and back-order files weekly
- Replenishes assigned inventory daily
- Makes sure all internal requests for parts are billed
- Receives payment from retail customers or obtains credit authorization
- Issues credit for parts returned
- Keeps orderly records of all repair orders, invoices, and special order parts
- Sets up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up
- Keeps front and rear counter areas clean and uncluttered
- Participates in training programs and stays current on new products
