Billing Representative - Temporary Position

Pulmonary Medicine Associates has a temporary full-time Billing Representative position available for 90 days. The role involves performing claims research, appeals, and follow-up using Athena Health Collector/Clinicals. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, CPC certification, and 3+ years of experience in medical billing. The position is on-site in Sacramento, CA.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• CPC certification
• Three plus years related work experience in a medical billing environment
• Knowledge of medical terminology, including CPT and ICD-10
• Knowledge of medical billing procedures, coding, Medi-Cal, Medicare, worker’s compensation and HMO/PPO insurance programs
• Knowledge of self pay and collection procedures
• Knowledge of in-patient and out-patient professional billing
