Accounting Manager

Pulumi is seeking an Accounting Manager or Senior Accounting Manager to own and evolve our core accounting operations as we continue to scale. This is a high-ownership role suited for someone who thrives in a fast-moving startup environment. Responsibilities include leading the month, quarter, and year-end close procedures, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial statement line items, conducting technical accounting research, and overseeing multi-state and country sales tax compliance.

Requirements

• 7 to 12 years of related accounting experience, including meaningful time in public accounting.
• Startup and/or high-growth tech company experience - ability to build processes under resource constraints and move fast without sacrificing accuracy.
• Effective operating in fast-paced environments, growth mindset, can be comfortable with ambiguity and shifting priorities.
• Proven ability to manage audits and own external auditor relationships.
• Experience with accounting systems (Netsuite preferred), advanced proficiency in Excel and/or Google Sheets, and other modern finance tools.
• CPA strongly preferred but not required
