Job Description
The Purdue Small Animal Hospital is seeking dedicated Animal Care Technicians to join our team in supporting the David and Bonnie Brunner Purdue Veterinary Medical Hospital Complex. Your daily responsibilities will include feeding, watering, grooming, bathing, and exercising animals, as well as providing general care to ensure their overall welfare.
Requirements
- Monitoring and maintaining the physical and environmental conditions of small animals
- Feeding, watering, grooming, bathing, and exercising animals
- Providing general care to ensure animal welfare
- Assisting with ordering and stocking supplies
- Following established protocols and standard operating procedures
- Performing terminal cleaning of departments and wards
- Providing guidance or training to junior staff
- Working toward certification in infection control and other relevant areas
