Job Description
The Purdue Veterinary Hospital is seeking a talented credentialed veterinary technician to join our Emergency and Critical Care team. The position offers a diverse caseload of patients, opportunities to work with DACVECC veterinarians and veterinary residents, and support for working towards VTS certification. The hospital values credentialed technicians for their skills and knowledge, and offers a generous benefits package and opportunities for teaching and mentoring students.
Requirements
- Associate's degree from an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program
- Registered in Indiana within 12 months
- Ability to work under pressure in emergency situations
- Strong oral/written communication skills
- Ability to handle the physical and emotional aspects of work in a veterinary hospital environment
- Ability to lift and carry 25-50 pounds frequently and 60 pounds occasionally
