Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Web & PDF Form Developer to support a federal government project to modernize accessible digital PDF forms. The ideal candidate will have strong accessibility expertise and hands-on experience developing structured and interactive PDF forms.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a Web Developer within the last 10 years.
- Strong knowledge of WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards.
- Experience working with the Government of Canada digital standards.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS / Tailwind CSS.
- Experience implementing interactive PDF functionality, including structured tagging and validation logic.
- Hands-on experience with Adobe Acrobat Pro.
- Experience conducting cross-browser and cross-platform testing.
- Working knowledge of UI/UX principles and accessibility-first design.
- Experience working in government or public sector environments.
- Strong written documentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple forms concurrently and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills in English; bilingual (English/French) is a strong asset.
