Data Modeler

Pyramid is seeking a Data Modeler for a 3-month contract in Irving, TX. The ideal candidate will have experience with Java, Weblogic, WebServer, and/or TomCat, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills. The role involves preparing conceptual data models, communicating with business customers, and participating in discussions on logical and physical data modeling.

Requirements

• Ability to prepare a conceptual data model based on user requirements
• Serve as a communications liaison between the business Customer and the technology development and support groups
• Participate and lead discussions on logical and physical data modeling with business and technical teams
• Engage with software quality teams and other organizations to ensure that quality standards are met
• Partner with infrastructure team regarding logical to physical database design
• Assist business analysts, developers, and related organizations to understand and use an agreed formal model
• College degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field or equivalent education
• 5+ years database modeling/design experience
• Experience in a Modeling role, analyzing and executing projects
• Experience with Oracle 9i or higher, SQL Plus
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to assume a high level of responsibility and work independently
• Ability to partner and work effectively with multiple levels of management
• Proficient in developing and delivering presentations to medium-to-large audiences
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, ppt, etc)
