Job Description
We are seeking a Director of Engineering to lead our engineering teams in building and evolving QAD's next-generation platform across Adaptive Applications and Champion AI. The role requires 10-12 years of software engineering experience and 4+ years in engineering leadership roles.
Requirements
- 10-12 years of software engineering experience
- 4+ years in engineering leadership roles
- Proven experience leading managers and multiple teams delivering enterprise SaaS products
- Strong background in cloud platforms (AWS), distributed systems, and modern SDLC practices
- Ability to balance hands-on technical depth with strategic and people leadership
- Experience in AI-driven platforms, FinTech, or high-growth SaaS environments
- Background in startup or scale-up environments, building platforms from the ground up
- Exposure to agentic AI, intelligent automation, or advanced analytics platforms
- Strong understanding of modern software engineering principles, system design, and distributed systems
- Hands-on familiarity with cloud-native architectures (preferably AWS), microservices, APIs, and data-driven systems
- Solid grounding in SDLC best practices including CI/CD, automated testing, security, and observability
- Ability to guide architectural decisions, review designs, and ensure long-term scalability and maintainability
