Laboratory Technician

QIMA is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will implement the management system and ISO/IEC 17025, conduct testing assignments, and troubleshoot problems. The role involves training junior technicians, maintaining lab records, and selecting new instruments and equipment. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering, or a Diploma in Textiles, and 2–3 years of experience in a textile testing laboratory.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering, or Diploma in Textiles.
• Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 requirements.
• Textile Testing training preferred.
• Familiar with textile standards.
• Ability to conduct tests on Physical properties, Dimensional Stability, and Colour Fastness.
• 2–3 years of experience in a textile testing laboratory.
• Experience with Accreditation Body Audits is a plus.
• Strong communication skills.
• Accurate typing and general computer proficiency.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Strong technical knowledge.
• Analytical mindset and logical thinking.
