Junior Network Engineer

Join QinetiQ as a Junior Network Engineer at our Portsmouth site, working with cutting-edge technology and collaborating with brilliant minds. As a Junior Network Engineer, you will provide systems required to ingest data from battlefield sensors and CJIIM information/intelligence feeds, fuse it, analyse it and distribute the resulting intelligence rapidly to battlefield users.

Requirements

• Experience of working within an IT service desk/help desk environment
• WINTEL, VMware and implementation experience
• Knowledge and understanding of the design, implementation and troubleshooting of Hierarchical IP Subnetting and Routing protocols including OSPF and BGP
• Knowledge of routers, switches and firewalls
• Professional interpersonal/communication skills to convey technical information
• Positive attitude and determination to see issues addressed successfully
