Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Engineer

Qorvo is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Engineer to support all aspects of risk-based EHS programs for our Richardson TX Facility. The role is critical to the performance and growth of the environmental, health and safety programs for the Richardson site.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, occupational health, industrial hygiene, or related field of study
• 5+ years of hands on EHS experience (or equivalent amount of an advanced degree and experience) supporting program development within an applicable manufacturing environment
• Working knowledge and understanding of general industry safety regulations (29 CFR 1910)
• Technical knowledge in occupational health and safety with experience in hazardous materials management, fire and electrical safety, risk assessment, and emergency response
• Technical knowledge in the area of environmental management including experience with Water, Air, Waste, and DOT requirements
• Strong problem-solving and creative skills
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses
• Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to professionally communicate at all levels of the organization
• Ability to assess and prioritize job duties in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Proficiency in MS Office products. (Power point, Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams)
• Ability to adapt to rapidly changing customer and business needs
