Job Description
The Engineering Supervisor will be a core leader of the Surly Design Engineering team, working on complex projects and driving innovation in product development and R&D. The role involves leading cross-functional teams, collaborating on practice development, and supervising design engineers. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, design creativity, and experience in engineering leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent certification
- 5+ years of engineering experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude and design creativity
- Deep knowledge of bicycles
- Experience within engineering leadership
- Strong CAD skillset including both 3D Modeling and 2D Drawings
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Experience working within a PDM or PLM system
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally approximately 2-6 weeks a year
