Platform Engineer (Cloud)

Qube Research & Technologies is seeking a Platform Engineer (Cloud) to design and operate cloud-native platforms that support internal development teams across the firm. The successful candidate will collaborate with Cloud Engineering, Security, and cloud users to improve developer experience and platform reliability.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Platform Engineer or in a similar role with a focus on AWS
• Strong programming skills in Python and/or Go, with experience writing production-grade code
• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs
• Experience writing and maintaining automated tests
• Experience with workflow or orchestration tools such as Temporal or AWS Step Functions
• Experience building and operating services on Kubernetes (EKS)
• Solid understanding of cloud architecture and distributed systems fundamentals
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation practices
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across teams
