Senior Category Specialist

Queensland Rail is seeking a Senior Category Specialist to lead complex procurement activities, build strong supplier relationships, and drive value and continuous improvement across the organisation.

Requirements

• Lead complex procurement activities end-to-end, including sourcing strategies and contract negotiations in a Queensland Government and QITC environment.
• Build and manage strong supplier relationships while monitoring performance to drive value and continuous improvement
• Use market insights and procurement data to guide planning and informed business decisions
• Deliver procurement sourcing strategies for high-value goods and services, conduct compliant market approaches and negotiate strong commercial outcomes
• Analyse spend and supplier performance, apply best practice procurement approaches, and contribute to process improvements that strengthen efficiency and compliance
