Job Description
QuEra is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with expertise in manufacturing to join our growing team building next-generation neutral atom quantum computers. The individual will work collaboratively with other engineers and the supply chain team to facilitate smooth new product introductions (NPIs).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in mechanical design and creating manufacturing documentation packages in support of outsourcing production
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software (preferably Inventor) and experience using PDM software (preferably Autodesk Vault)
- Thorough understanding of fabrication, machining, sheet metal, and electromechanical and/or optomechanical assembly techniques
- Proficiency with product lifecycle management (PLM) and configuration management processes (ECO/ECR/MCO)
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
