Requirements
- Identifying and responding to cyber threats
- Supporting the alert development cycle
- Triage and investigation of alerts
- Assisting with the incident response lifecycle
- Collecting and tracking metrics for reporting
- Monitoring, analyzing and reporting possible cybersecurity attacks
- Assisting senior analysts with investigations and escalating findings as needed
- Investigating and performing analysis of threat indicators
- Gathering Indicators of compromise and relevant data for threat hunting activities
- Leveraging security tools for analysis to identify malicious activities
- Analyzing identified malicious activity to determine Tactics, Techniques and Procedures
- Assisting with research, analysis and correlation of gathered data from various resources
- Executing containment and eradication actions under guidance
- Participating in on-call and hands-on scheduled shift rotations
- Supporting Security Incident Response and investigation alongside internal teams and 3rd party providers
- Documenting incident timelines, evidence, and actions taken
- Participating in post-incident reviews and contributing to lessons-learned reports
- Following and contributing to incident response playbooks and runbooks
- Participating in tabletop exercises and IR simulations
- Assisting with proactive security investigation and searches on corporate environments
- Maintaining up-to-date understanding of security threats, countermeasures, security tools, cloud security and SaaS technologies
- Escalating investigation findings and security concerns to senior team members
- Contributing to tracking SOC operational metrics (MTTD, MTTR, alert fidelity)
