Senior Software Engineer (Backend)

Questrade Financial Group is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Backend) to design and develop high-performing and scalable applications. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing and developing applications that deliver business value, and will be able to collaborate with the user interface and experience teams, other back-end and front-end developers and architects to deliver great applications.

Requirements

• Degree, diploma or equivalent directly related work experience
• Minimum 7 years of experience in Software Engineering
• Digital financial services experience preferred
• Exposure to the full software development life cycle
• Strong skills at performance application tuning
• Good interpersonal, verbal and written skills
• Strong documentation, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent time-management and organizational abilities
• Ability to work under minimal supervision
• Ability to adapt and change based on new business requirements and environment
• Comfortable using AI tools to automate SDLC tasks
