System/Project Engineer

r2p is seeking a System/Project Engineer to join their team in Buffalo, USA (or potentially other US locations). This role involves system engineering duties, including system design, engineering support, and deployment support for Passenger Information Systems and Rolling Stock/Bus CCTV Systems. The ideal candidate will be customer-oriented, possess strong communication skills, and be able to work independently and within a team to deliver innovative solutions for public transport.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent technical experience.
• 3+ years of experience in a Systems Engineer, Project Engineer, or similar role.
• A basic knowledge of electronic hardware concepts.
• Knowledge and skills in data networks setup and configuration.
• Knowledge of network firewalls, switches, VLANS, VPNs, and wireless networks.
• Knowledge in audiovisual systems and associated streaming and control protocols (VoIP, SIP, RTSP, MQTT, TRDP) and video compression technologies (H.264).
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken is mandatory.
• Ability and willingness to travel within North America to customer locations.
