Linux Systems Administrator

The Linux Systems Administrator will provide maintenance support for software and operational systems at the Commander Naval Meteorology and Oceanography Command (CNMOC) at NASA’s Stennis Space Center. The role will involve Linux OS operation and administration, troubleshooting, and maintaining and upgrading operating systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or relevant technical field
• 2+ years of experience as a Linux System Administrator performing patching and configuring systems
• 3 years of experience as systems administrator or software developer
• Strong communication skills
• Active Secret Clearance
• CompTIA Security+ certification
• CompTIA Linux+ certification
• Experience with RDBMS such as PostgreSQL and Oracle
• Experience with VMWare products (VSphere, ESXi) to perform basic administration of systems
• Experience with mass storage systems (NetApp)
• Experience administering user accounts and permissions in both Linux and Windows environments (LDAP)
• Experience with Server administration to include troubleshooting of a system and routing system patching
• Understanding of the DoW STIG application process
• Understanding of the DoW Risk Management Framework (RMF)
• Experience with ESRI Products like ESRI Enterprise and ESRI Portal
