The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will develop and improve manufacturing processes by studying product requirements for enhancement of safety, quality, cost, reduction, and throughput.
Requirements
- Manage overall production flow, floor layouts, and labor reduction efforts.
- Recommend changes, prepare cost justifications, and coordinate the design and development of new processes fixtures, equipment, tooling, and materials.
- Lead large-scale automation projects.
- Take ownership of managing key company-wide strategic manufacturing engineering projects, overseeing all aspects of time, financial, and resource allocations.
- Develop and oversee engineering plans and lead the identification of breakthrough manufacturing opportunities at scale that can be solved through enhancement of manufacturing processes and are consistent with a zero-defect level and low product cost.
- Lead others to find innovative solutions within complex manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles.
- Collaborate with adjacent functions to solve issues; utilize internal and external resources outside of own function to help determine a solution.
- Ensure all manufacturing engineering projects fit within the overall company strategy and provide support to product design engineering and production during the hand-off of a new product.
