We're seeking a highly experienced Lead Environment Artist to join our team and drive the visuals for an exciting unannounced project. The role involves managing and directing a team of Environment Artists to deliver high-quality artistic content, as well as creating game design documents and working with key stakeholders to set technical and artistic goals.
Requirements
- Lead a team of Environment artists with best practice people management techniques
- Proactively manage your team’s performance and professional development through performance review cycles
- Guide the creation of benchmark quality assets
- Take ownership in creating game design documents to outline project goals for environments
- Expert knowledge of game engines and tools
- Expertise in a 3D software such as 3D Studio Max, Maya or Blender
- Excellent knowledge of 3D sculpting packages such as Zbrush or Mudbox
- Expert knowledge of PBR material pipeline and texturing using Substance
- Able to translate and creatively evolve concept and reference artwork into 3d assets
- Expert knowledge of composition and visual story telling
- Excellent knowledge of production pipelines
