Recruitics is seeking a Sr Platform Engineer, FinOps to own and drive cost optimization across their cloud infrastructure and data platforms. The ideal candidate will have experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or Platform roles, with a strong focus on cloud cost management, and technical skills in AWS, Kubernetes, Apache Spark, and Terraform.
Requirements
- 5+ years in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or Platform roles, with a strong focus on cloud cost management.
- Deep experience in AWS with strong knowledge of pricing, service usage, billing structures, and enterprise discount programs.
- Strong hands-on expertise with Kubernetes (EKS), including autoscaling, node/pod tuning, and Vcluster architecture.
- Solid understanding of Apache Spark tuning and workload cost attribution.
- Experience with Airflow, Snowflake, and large-scale data pipelines.
- Familiarity with Java-based microservices in cloud environments and strategies to reduce resource bloat.
- Proficiency in Terraform, Python, and shell scripting for automation and reporting.
- Experience designing and managing FinOps dashboards (using QuickSight, Looker, Tableau, or similar).
- FinOps Certified Practitioner (or equivalent experience).
- Experience deploying FinOps tools (e.g., nOps).
- Familiarity with chargeback models, per-team budgeting, and cost accountability frameworks.
- Experience in high-growth SaaS or PE-backed environments.
