Direct Support Professional - Los Angeles, CA

Direct Support Professional supports individuals with developmental disabilities to have quality of life, promoting health, safety, and well-being. They plan daily routines, assist with personal care, and encourage socialization. The role requires at least 1 year of caregiving experience and a high school diploma. Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1 year of professional or personal experience in caregiving (preferably supporting individuals with developmental disabilities or mental illnesses with challenging behaviors)
• Direct Support Professional Certificate Year 1 & Year 2 (preferred or obtain within 6 months of hire)
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification (preferred or obtain within 6 months of hire)
• First Aid / CPR certification (preferred or obtain within 30 days of employment)
• California Driver's License
• 21 years of age or older
