Mechanical Engineering Intern

Redwood Materials is seeking an entrepreneurial Mechanical Engineering intern to support pilot and commercial scale production operations. Responsibilities include leading technical design, troubleshooting equipment, and developing prototypes.

Requirements

• Pursuing a B.S. or advanced degree in mechanical engineering or a closely related discipline
• Prior engineering internship experience with a leading technology or manufacturing company
• Hands-on experience building products or projects in the workshop or lab
• Coursework and/or experience with thermodynamics, gas combustion and chemical processes
• Working knowledge of major mechanical design software packages
• Coursework and/or experience with automation and programmable control systems
• Highly self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset
• Ability to safely perform job duties in both office and production environments
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. as needed
• Must maintain regular and punctual attendance in alignment with company and regulatory standards
• Wear proper PPE when necessary
