The Power Electronics Engineering Intern will support the development of next-generation Pack Managers for Energy Storage Systems (ESS) utilizing recycled batteries specifically for AI Data Centers. The role involves detailed power electronics design, prototyping, and preparing for high-volume production of efficient, cost-effective, and technologically leading-edge power converters.
Requirements
- MS or PhD candidate in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Power Electronics
- Deep theoretical and practical understanding of Resonant DC-DC converter modulation schemes (e.g., frequency modulation, phase-shift control)
- Expertise in magnetics design using Ansys Maxwell for transformer modeling, including inductance matrix extraction and detailed winding/core loss analysis
- Proficiency in simulation tools such as Simulink and LTspice for transient and steady-state circuit analysis
- Hands-on experience with Altium Designer for multi-layer PCB layout, specifically for high-power and high-voltage creepage/clearance requirements
