Chip Box Equipment Operator

We are in need of Construction Laborers for a 2 week project during the summer months in South Lake Tahoe. The ideal candidate will be a safe, hardworking, team-oriented person who is ok with working outdoors on road construction crews.

Requirements

• Operate and control the chip box during chip seal operations
• Ensure uniform distribution of aggregate across the treated surface
• Monitor chip spread rates and adjust gates, speed, and flow as directed
• Communicate effectively with crew regarding adjustments, stops, or issues
• Perform daily inspections of chip box equipment and report mechanical issues
• Assist with loading aggregate into the chip box
• Follow all jobsite safety protocols, traffic control procedures, and company policies
• Assist with general crew duties when not operating equipment
• Maintain cleanliness of chip box and related equipment
