Job Description
The Mammography Tech performs technical and manual breast mammographic examinations, may perform breast localization procedures, and provides direct patient care. Responsibilities include assisting the Director of Diagnostic Imaging, maintaining quality and continuity of patient care, and contributing to department efficiency. Requires ability to lift patients, maintain discretion, and operate medical equipment.
Requirements
- Education: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Mammography modality with Associates Degree or higher.
- Personal Job-Related Skills: Ability to lift and position patients, maintain discreet behavior, and follow instructions.
- Licensure, Registry or Certification: Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology a current certification with MQSA and State of Texas
- CPR certification
- Ability to adjust to patient positioning, lift and position patients, regularly and long periods.
- Ability to work overtime and be on-call.
