Buyer I

The Buyer utilizes available tools and methods to plan and support the fulfillment of customer orders, working directly with suppliers and cell manufacturing personnel.

Requirements

• Identify procurement needs and trends.
• Understand interaction of production scheduling and materials flow to achieve required customer delivery.
• Timely and precise processing of purchase orders.
• Review, update and maintain replenishment systems.
• Establish and maintain cost reduction, lead time reduction and inventory reduction programs with suppliers to support company goals.
• Communication with engineering and quality assurance to interpret and establish technical requirements.
• Provide solutions for procurement issues that impact production scheduling.
• Train associates on use of replenishment tools.
• Maintains a safe working environment by compliance with state and federal safety regulations.
