Sets up and operates one or more Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines, and other machines, within machine cell. The selected candidate will be offered a pay rate based on prior industrial experience, but not less than $23.66/hour to start.
Requirements
- Sets–up and operates CNC machine and all other equipment in assigned Cell
- Transfer commands from servers to computer numerical control (CNC) modules, using computer network links
- Mount, install, align, and secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and workpieces on machines, using hand tools and precision measuring instruments
- Stop machines to remove finished workpieces or to change tooling, setup, or workpiece placement, according to required machining sequences
- Measure dimensions of finished workpieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures
- Fully responsible for preventive maintenance and proper usage of assigned machinery, tools, and component parts in assigned cell
- Follows Standard Work instructions and makes all programming and mechanical adjustments
- May move from assigned cell to other cells at discretion of supervisor
- Adheres to all safety and health standards
- Participates in Kaizan events and seeks to continuously improve work processes
- Ability to perform next job below and above in value stream
