Opportunity for a CNC Machinist to join the R&D team and advance the development of new and innovative electric motor products. The CNC Programmer & Machinist is responsible for programming and operating the CNC mill and CNC lathe of the R&D machine shop.
Requirements
- Program, set up, and operate HURCO TM6i 2-axis CNC turning center
- Program, set up, and operate HURCO VM5i 3-axis CNC machining center
- Inspect own work using various inspection equipment to measure tight tolerances
- Grind and fabricate specialty tooling as required
- Sharpen tools as required
- Help troubleshoot machines as required
- Teach fundamentals in machine operation, set-up, and programming (as requested)
- Measure and maintain quality and safety standards around the CNC machining area
- Keep records, maintain equipment and supplies required to support CNC machines
