Job Description
The Engineer Technician III – Prototype Machinist plays a vital role in supporting engineering development, testing, and new product introduction through expert machining and hands-on fabrication. This position partners closely with design and test engineers to manufacture high-precision prototypes, modify parts for testing, and ensure quality builds that meet engineering intent.
Requirements
- Machine, fabricate, and assemble prototype and production-intent components
- Interpret complex engineering drawings, CAD models, and 3D prints
- Set up and operate manual and CNC equipment
- Collaborate with design engineers to provide manufacturability feedback and suggest design improvements
- Perform test fixture and assembly builds
- Support root cause investigations
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards
