Job Description
Provides basic life support in a pre-hospital setting to patients who are ill and/or injured. Transports and transfers patients and assess the extent of an illness or injury to establish and prioritize medical procedure to follow in accordance with established scope and protocols.
Requirements
- EMT certification in the State of California
- Nor Cal EMT certification
- American Heart Association BLS/CPR
- CA Ambulance Driver’s License with Medical Examiner’s Certificate
- Valid California or Nevada Driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to work in an on-call capacity
- Low angle rope rescue certification
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills
- Maintains a positive working attitude
- Self-starter requiring little oversight
- Adaptable to change and able to function in a team-based management structure
- Ability to work overtime as required
