Job Description
Relativity Space is seeking an Aerodynamics Engineer II to join its Integrated Performance team, working on the development of reusable launch vehicles. The team operates with a rare scale, allowing for meaningful impact and collaboration across technical domains. The successful candidate will develop and execute CFD analyses, validate CFD approaches, and drive the design of major system elements to meet criteria for control, stability, and pressure.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in engineering or related field
- 2+ years relevant experience
- Proficiency in compressible flow, preferably on entry vehicles
- Experience executing CFD workflows for external flow, preferably including engine plume simulation
- Experience solving cross-disciplinary design problems on integrated vehicles
- Proficiency in Python and industry-standard CFD tools like FUN3D or Star-CCM+, including use of HPC clusters
