Senior Manufacturing Engineer, Primary Structures

Join Relativity Space as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to help build the Terran R vehicle and shape the future of scaled launch. This role involves providing design for manufacturing feedback, collaborating with diverse teams, and championing process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, aeronautical, mechanical engineering, or other engineering discipline
• 5+ years progressive and related experience required
• Strong history of supporting complicated assembly builds and capable of making risk decisions on a regular basis to disposition issues during build and keep production moving
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with engineering and manufacturing groups to understand process constraints and provide design inputs for improved manufacturability
• Strong engineering fundamentals in statics, mechanics of materials, process improvement/factory design, fastening and joining, machining
• Expert knowledge of common drilling and trim ops, other manufacturing processes, tools, inspection methods and GD&T
