Job Description
Relativity Space is hiring a Staff Vehicle Structures Engineer to work on the design, build, and test of the Terran R vehicle's integrated structures and flight mechanisms. The role involves full life cycle project ownership, innovative conceptualization, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate has 8+ years of experience in design engineering, a strong understanding of structural analysis and CAD tools, and excellent organizational skills.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in a design engineering role
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical discipline
- Significant experience with industry-standard CAD packages such as NX, Creo, or Solidworks
- Working knowledge of structural analysis (hand calculation, Finite Elements Methods and industry tools) and test
- Fundamental knowledge of structures strength, stability and fatigue failure mechanisms
- Fundamental knowledge of additive and traditional manufacturing processes
- Full life cycle project ownership experience
