LexisNexis Legal & Professional is seeking a Business Development Manager to identify, engage, and convert new clients across the legal fraternity and selected corporate industries.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in business development, solution selling, or B2B sales
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in commission-driven environments
- Experience in industries such as software, insurance, telecoms, legal tech, risk/compliance, or subscription-based services
- Strong business acumen with the ability to engage confidently with senior executives, partners, and decision-makers
- Excellent communication and presentation skills — articulate, persuasive, and fluent in English
- Highly self-motivated, disciplined, and able to work independently without close supervision
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Degree in Law or Business is advantageous, but not essential; ability to grasp legal/technical solutions is key
- Be proficient in CRM software and other relevant tools for managing customer accounts, leads, opportunities and sales activities
- Have a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas in a similar role
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients and internal teams
- Demonstrate excellent negotiation skills and the ability to close deals effectively
- Be able to adapt to a dynamic work environment and manage multiple client sales deals effectively
- Legal, governance, risk and compliance experience would be advantageous
