Senior Software Engineer II

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer II to join our Research Data Platform (RDP) team. The successful candidate will have 5+ years of software engineering experience, a BS in Engineering/Computer Science, and expertise in multiple data storage subsystems and development languages. The role involves designing and working with complex data models, mentoring junior software developers, and resolving complex technical issues.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Software Engineering experience
• BS Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Advanced knowledge of software development methodologies
• Strong proficiency with data manipulation language including optimization techniques
• Strong understanding of normalized/dimensional data modeling principles
• Strong knowledge of multiple data storage subsystems
• Expertise in development languages
• Strong research skills
• Knowledge in industry best practices in development
• Ability to interface with other technical personnel or team members
• Ability to work well with internal and external technology resources
