Job description
The Cloud Team designs, builds, and operates Remitly's AWS cloud foundation - the networking fabric and infrastructure tooling that every product team depends on. We manage cloud infrastructure at significant scale (hundreds to thousands of accounts), move money for millions of customers, and treat reliability, security, and operational excellence as non-negotiable.
As a Cloud Engineer, you will own deep parts of our cloud and networking stack, ship high-quality Go services, and build internal abstractions that reduce cognitive load for the broader engineering org. You will lead architecture decisions on cloud topology, multi-account governance, cross-region connectivity, and platform abstractions used by every engineering team.
You will collaborate with SRE, Security, and Platform teams to embed observability, compliance, and operational excellence into cloud paved pathways. Troubleshoot complex network issues across distributed cloud environments, applying deep knowledge of TCP/IP protocols and traffic flow analysis.
