Job Description
Remitly is looking for a Software Development Engineer II to join their Trust Decisioning Platform team. The team builds real-time risk control plane that powers fraud and scam prevention across all of Remitly's product lines. The engineer will design and build backend services using Kotlin and Go, collaborate with cross-functional partners, and own the reliability and performance of their services.
Requirements
- 4+ years of professional software development experience building production backend systems
- Strong programming skills in Go, Kotlin or similar languages
- Experience designing and building distributed systems using cloud platforms, particularly AWS services
- Understanding of software engineering best practices including testing, version control, CI/CD and agile methodologies
- Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to solve complex problems
- Experience in translating emerging AI capabilities into practical, high-impact solutions.
- A degree in computer science, engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience
