The Fleet Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for supervising a maintenance shop that is under the umbrella responsibility of a Maintenance Manager, including supervising technicians, planning and scheduling repair work, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Provide direction to technicians to ensure safe, efficient, and timely repair and maintenance work
- Monitor operational performance and efficiency, taking action to redirect activities as necessary
- Report performance to management and make recommendations for process/programmatic changes
- Supervise technicians in maintenance shop, including conducting daily shop huddles and coaching/counseling/ training technicians
- Perform inspections of outside repairs to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
- Identify training opportunities and document issues and corrective action
- Conduct Quality Control Inspections, track issues, and resolution to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
- Maintain advanced knowledge of engine, emission systems, transmission, brake, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- Manage related administrative matters, including payroll, employee records, and budget
