Research Associate

The Republican National Committee is seeking entry-level candidates to join its Research team. The team gathers and generates actionable opposition research and information on Democratic office holders and candidates and serves as a key information hub for the Communications Department.

Requirements

• Conduct opposition research on Democratic candidates and elected officials
• Assist in drafting research reports, talking points, briefing materials, and other written content
• Monitor media coverage, social media, and public statements by Democratic officials and candidates
• Maintain research files by reviewing public records, press reports, legislative activity, and social media content
• Search public records databases including campaign finance filings, court records, legislative records, and other government documents
• Assist in filing FOIA requests and gathering federal, state, and local government records
• Support ongoing research projects by compiling data, maintaining research documents, and organizing information for the communications and research teams
• Provide rapid response research and analysis for breaking news events
